Digital Services Principal Consultant

Version 1 has a clear and defined strategy around our Digital direction within the Public Sector in the UK. Starting 2018 with this clear strategy we are looking for a Principle Consultant to join our Digital capability to take ownership of the growth of our Government Digital Solution.
Coming into Version 1 as our Digital Services Principle Consultant, you will be one of the public faces of the company. You will have the commitment and drive to lead, support and apply the company´s growth strategy across the Public Sector. The goal is to drive sustainable growth, through forging long-term relationships with customers and boosting sales across the Public Sector and the UK Government´s Digital Services. You will have the full support of our Practice Director and our internal Digital Consulting Delivery Practice. This is a new role to Version 1 and as you drive the success you will have the opportunity to grow a Delivery team around you and lead this team.

In this role you will be responsible for:
Setting the strategic direction for our Government Digital Solutions, growing our customer base and developing long-term relationships
You will drive the on-going enhancement and growth of Digital Solutions and Data Transformation Services within the UK Public Sector
You will identify, build and deliver innovative services for Central Government Agencies
Lead the sales activities within this key strategic growth area for Version 1
Lead client assignments, identify new business opportunities and be involved in the bid and tender process across Government Digital Services Qualifications

This is an ideal role for someone with proven experience delivering Digital Solutions across the Government´s Digital Services. You will have the opportunity to shape the strategy, grow the team and lead the innovation and this truly is a unique opportunity within Version 1 and within the UK market place.
You should be able to clearly demonstrate experience in the following areas to be considered for this role:
Proven success in a Senior IT Service Delivery role, ideally within Digital Solutions
You will have delivered Digital Solutions and built key relationships within the Government Digital Services (this is a key for this role)
Experience within a consultancy environment is preferable
You will have previously had direct ownership for the relationships with Public Sector Customers and ensure that they have been advocates for the services being provided
Have been through the Bid and Tender process and through the governance around projects/programmes within the Government Digital Services area
Experience working in a metrics and data driven environment and using this information to demonstrate value to customers
Proven track record and ability to build lasting relationships with customers

Youll be:
Adaptable able to change tact or approach to ever changing circumstances with a proven ability to prioritise and plan
An Influencer you will drive behaviours and results in others at all levels and across the organisation regardless of reporting lines behind our customer advocacy approach.

Commercially focused you understand the nuances of revenue retention and growth, without compromising our margins.

Collaborative you dont operate in silos; you break them down and make connections.

A Listener you listen to your customers and to the Version 1 people working with those customers youre always on the lookout for opportunities to enhance the experience of your customers or for ways to help them.

Creative youll be flexible in your thinking sometimes following the right process is the answer, and sometimes there just isnt a process for the scenario.

Empathetic you can see the Customers perspective and Version 1s perspective, and find the middle ground.

Challenging sometimes the customer is right, and sometimes they are not and you can spot the difference.
