Concierge

Hours - 19 hours per week (8am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday)

Summary of Job

Working within an apartment block in the centre of Birmingham, the role of the Concierge is to assist residents with various issues such as handling parcel deliveries on their behalf and providing meter reads as well as providing on-site management on behalf of the Property Management Company on a range of matters including site cleaning and overseeing contractors on site to carry out work.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the site appearance, particularly relating to cleaning.
  • Provide first point of contact for residents on a range of issues.
  • Answer enquiries by telephone or callers to the desk.
  • Assist residents, guests and visitors with individual requests.
  • Check and screen all visitors, guests and contractors, ensuring they have permission to be in the building. Report any suspicious or unusual behaviour, calling the police if necessary.
  • Report any site problems and faults monitor resolutions.
  • Report any security and health and safety issues, incidents and complaints.
  • Receiving and safe keeping of parcels and registered mail.
  • Notify residents of any deliveries to arrange collection from the front desk.
  • Issuing of keys to correct personnel/residents whilst recording the signing in an out of keys.
  • Ensure relevant preventative measures are undertaken in case of fire and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain Car Park register.

Requirements

  • Project a professional, friendly and polite manner with an emphasis on customer service.
  • A good level of written and spoken English.
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills.
  • Some experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and basic computer operation.
  • Customer service experience and good personal hygiene.
  • Maintaining a smart appearance at all times, wearing a suit and appropriate shoes.
  • Happy to assist with cleaning duties as required.
  • Flexibility to respond to a variety of different work situations.
