Mpac Maintenance Control Engineer

Brief Description
The position is responsible for providing 24/7 oversight of maintenance activities across Line and Base Maintenance and when applicable make operational decisions to ensure the maintenance program is supported and delivered. Acting as the main point of contact through which all customer maintenance requests are managed. Providing technical guidance for MAEL managed customers with regards operational aircraft.
Detailed Description
Daily operational oversight Base Maintenance Monitor daily progress of base maintenance inputs against plan Identify risks across the facilities in terms of on time delivery and act accordingly to try and resolve Identify and coordinate requests for 3 rd party support to ensure delivery to plan (Sub-contracted services, price teams, etc.).

Daily operational oversight - Line Maintenance Oversee the planning of Line Maintenance workloads across each line station Monitor progress and act accordingly to ensure on time performance

AOG (Aircraft On Ground) Event Management Act as the point of contact for all emergent events for operational aircraft (AOGs) Maintain oversight and control of such events and ensure regular communication with the customer by way of telephone and structured reports Provide technical guidance to customers for whom MAEL provides MOC services

Maintain day to day communication with customers by way of telephone, email, and regular meetings Job Requirements

Knowledge:
The MPAC Maintenance Control Engineer will need a sound understanding of the aircraft operational environment and the challenges that this brings, a good understanding of aircraft maintenance planning and execution principles in both the base and line maintenance environment, and be able to demonstrate a good technical understanding of aircraft types and systems.
A sound understanding of how aircraft manuals are structured and able to use them to determine aircraft serviceability.
A good understanding of Human Factors principles

Skills:
Ability to assess data and make sound decisions under pressure
Ability to produce management reports, with a high level of attention to detail
Good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Ability to interpret data, identify issues, and challenge where appropriate
Good verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate positively with stakeholders, sometimes in challenging situations

Experience/Education:
Will have an indentured apprenticeship or equivalent
Must have proven experience in a base or line maintenance environment
It would be advantageous to have some experience in a maintenance planning or maintenance management environment
Sound understanding of AMOS and its practical uses
Be able to demonstrate a working understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
