Communication And Engagement Manager

Role summary

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Engagement, the Communications and Engagement Manager will be a key member of the Communications and Engagement team, helping to lead and develop a vibrant team as it evolves to cover two Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).

Job Purpose

The communication and engagement team plays a vital role in managing the reputation and profile of the organisations. It also ensures the building and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholder groups; patients, carers, general public, staff, GPs, statutory partners and the voluntary sector.

By ensuring engagement with internal and external stakeholders is well planned, well executed and effectively monitored, the team can gather as well as disseminate key information, assisting the organisation in achieving its strategic goals and ensuring the delivery of the best possible health care to local people.

Communication and engagement are essential when things are going well and even more important when the landscape is challenging. With ever-increasing demand on NHS services, and in a difficult financial period for the CCG, this post will help the relevant leads to develop and deliver a forthright communication and engagement agenda one that will facilitate open and transparent conversations with stakeholders about potentially tough commissioning decisions on the horizon.

The role will sit within the CCGs Primary Care and Strategy directorate, working as part of a dynamic communication and engagement team. It will deliver a central support to the CCGs, providing expert communication and engagement.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
