Financial Performance Analyst - Role Objective

Our client has a challenging and exciting efficiency programme targeting delivery of an upper quarterly performance. In this role you will be a key member of the Finance & Performance team offering support to Production in delivering an upper quarterly performance by 2018.

Partnering the Production teams this role will provide valuable reporting, modelling, decision support, insight and challenge to support the successful delivery of BAU and Transformation plans.

The role is also pivotal in tracking current year OPEX efficiencies and developing effective plans for future periods.

Financial Performance Analyst - Key Accountabilities:
  • Business Partnering with the Business Leads that you will support. Building and maintaining strong relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Provide effective support and challenge to new and existing business cases.
  • Be the guardian of tracking OPEX and IRE in year and developing our plans for future periods.
  • Provide compelling insight and analysis to identify trends and opportunities and support the business improvement teams in realising the opportunities.
  • Provide month end reporting and commentary for the field.
  • Create in year budgets and periodic forecasts for your counties.
  • Deputise for the Reporting F&P Business Partner at Performance Meetings etc when required.
  • Provide ad-hoc modelling as required.
Financial Performance Analyst - Experience

In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:

  • Experience working in a fast paced commercial environment in a financial analysis capacity.
  • Demonstrated good analytic experience including modelling.
  • Substantive finance and/or commercial experience with significant operational exposure.
  • Experience of sharing financial data to non-finance professionals in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong track record of taking the lead in diagnosing business issues and through business partnering delivering a step change in performance.
  • First class stakeholder management expertise.
  • Strong MS Office, SAP ECC and BI capabilities.
Financial Performance Analyst - Capabilities

In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:

  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills & exceptional attention to detail forward looking not reactive.
  • The ability to provide real added value insight and interpretation of performance outcomes, & potential risks and opportunities. To be able to articulate and clearly frame these while guiding the recipient to the key issues & drivers.
  • Strong influencing skills both at senior level and front line operations. Must be able to credibly advise, guide and constructively challenge when required.
  • Excellent communications skills & the ability to build strong relationships with business.
  • Strong Commercial decision support evaluation skills based on sound operational and financial judgement.
  • A Customer centred mindset. Ability to balance customer needs and commercial impact at the same time as meeting time deadlines.

  • Financially qualified or with relevant experience.
