Land Ownership Project Officer

Located in the Councils Property Team you will have a varied workload responding to Council land and property ownership enquires.

You will receive enquires on a daily basis and you will be required to respond both verbally and in writing. You will work closely with Council officers from Property, Legal, Planning & Highways, and you will also be responding to enquires from members of the public, Councillors and many external organisations in respect of Council landownership, land sales, boundary responsibilities & disputes and rights of access.

In responding to landownership enquires you will be using a desktop geographical information system (Map Info) to provide plans identifying the Councils landownership. The plans will range from simple identification plans to more complex plans identifying detailed landownership for major projects and schemes.

As a successful candidate you will either be educated to degree standard or able to demonstrate that you have equivalent educational or professional development or that you have equivalent work based experience in property management or in land acquisitions or disposal projects.
You will have experience in the use of geographical information systems.
You must be self motivated and be able to manage a varied workload and to deal confidently with enquires from a wide client base.
