Project Brief:
The role will be Programme Test Manager within the CM&D Best Practice Testing Function.



The role holder will be responsible for the delivery of Testing and Environment management for large scale projects and programmes across HSS. These will include the Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Testing Programme, the CM&D Test Environment Function and initiatives within the HSS Equator programme.

The Test Programme Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of testing and associated services for large sized programmes and projects with the Global Change Management & Delivery Testing function. This will include the management of test teams and the supporting roles across multiple sites. The role holder will be responsible for

test resourcing, issue and risk management, environment management, client and stakeholder management as well as defining the overall project test strategy, project plans, monitoring and reporting to project stakeholders. The Test Programme Manager is also responsible for ensuring test delivery is within budget, quality and time objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Accountable for the delivery of testing and environment provision for the RPA programme



Management of the delivery of testing for multiple projects within the CM&D portfolio



Provide oversight and governance of the CM&D Test Environment Management Function



Define and implement the Test Strategies for CM&D



Implementation of HSBC Testing Best Practices

ensuring a standardised testing methodology, test and requirement traceability and project governance process exist



Co-ordinate and manage Test Analysts within global locations



Responsible for resourcing and recruitment for projects under management



Communications to key stakeholder including attendance at

Steering groups



Provision of accurate Reporting MI to stakeholder and clients



Defect Management and controls



Estimation and Planning of Testing resources for programmes including

supply/demand forecasting



Interfaces with Business and IT Stakeholders (internally and externally) to ensure the end to end testing controls and tollgates are in place, release schedule, platform availability and any issues that could impact testing delivery



Cross



programme dependencies are identified and managed



Ensures that all testing adheres to industry standards and challenges where appropriate across divisions and Group



Building strong relationships with clients and HOST



Leads, motivates and develops team members to create a high performing team



Implement strong planning and resource forecasting techniques; and

Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Groups standards of ethical behaviour.

Management of Risk

Responsible for the continual assessment of operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology.

Demonstrates compliance with HSBC Bank plc Group standards, manuals and policies and adheres to the defined work practices, internal controls and risk management standards associated with the role.

Observation of Internal Controls

Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business activities associated with the role, specifically HSBC Bank plc internal controls and compliance policies and manuals.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related fields

Extensive experience of managing distributed test teams across multiple sites

Business Knowledge of Funds Administration

In Depth knowledge of the project and test lifecycle

Delivered Testing for complex programmes and projects

Be able to communicate at different levels of an organisation from senior management level to technical

and business teams

Strong leadership skills

Have had wide experience of different technologies Client/Server, UNIX, Relational Databases (SQL Server/Oracle)

Hands on knowledge and experience of Blue Prism (RPA) Implementations

Experienced in use of test data and setup of data within test environments

Understand Release Management and /or Configuration Management

Extensive experience of Stakeholder Management and conflict resolution

Ability to influence and drive forward initiatives
