Office Assistant

Allied Vehicles Ltd is the market leader in the manufacture and supply of wheelchair accessible mobility vehicles and vehicle adaptations. We have a countrywide reputation for ensuring quality, value and customer satisfaction.

We are looking to recruit an Office Assistant. You will help control the receipt and distribution of paperwork with our Accounts department and provide admin support to the Accounts team. The Accounts department is extremely busy and the team deal with significant volumes of paperwork. Although the position advertised is for an Office Assistant, there may be an opportunity to move into a Purchase Ledger role further down the line.

The main duties of the role are as follows:

  • Open and distribute all incoming post, for Allied Vehicles Limited
  • Organise and distribute all accounts payable documentation, received via e-mail
  • Filing of all accounts payable paperwork
  • Ensuring completeness of receipts for credit card payments
  • Preparing monthly inter departmental costs analysis, using Excel
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects as required

The successful applicant will require :

  • A positive attitude
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong administration skills
  • Organised and articulate, with the ability to multi task
  • Able to work under own initiative
  • Intermediate IT skills

Normal working hours would be Monday Friday 8.30am 5pm however we would be willing to consider a flexible work pattern around the core hours of 9.30am 3pm.
