Job Purpose

TMS (UK) Ltd requires Trainee Field Service Engineers to carry out all manners of repairs, maintenance, installations and refurbishment to customer shopping trolleys and all other associated handling and mobility equipment - across the UK for many of the top UK food retailers .

The successful candidate will also be responsible for controlling their own service van, attending to various retailers premises and carrying out repairs, maintenance and projects to their customer trolley fleet

A background knowledge in basic engineering principles as well as experience in hand and power tools, are advantageous, but full training and support will be provided.

Immediate start available

Salary Potential earnings of £25,000 plus per annum for a Trainee

Trainee - £7.65 per hour
Grade 1 - £8.42 per hour
Grade 2 - £8.93 per hour
Grade 3 - £9.44 per hour
Grade 4 Training and Quality Supervisor - £9.95 per hour

All overtime at time and one third.

Hours of Work

40 hours per week
Monday to Friday 6 : 3 0am 3 : 3 0 pm with overtime readily available

Overview Trainee - (This list is not exhaustive and other areas of responsibility may be included)

This skill and grading level consists of the following criteria: First 12 x weeks basic training (can be extended dependant on training undertaken and speed of learning).
Key Skills & Experience A basic knowledge and experience of hand and power tools are essential. Must have full UK driving licence and van driving experience is preferred. Travelling and on-site working experience is also beneficial. Must be self-motivated and keen to learn and progress. You will also be required to spend nights away from home, covering jobs at various locations. You will be required to utilise a Sleeper Van when working away from home where a hotel is not available. You will be hard working, motivated, a good problem solver, have great customer service and a basic understanding of engineering principals. CSCS card, First Aid and Manual Handling certifications are also beneficial. Excellent communication, planning, organisation and leadership skills The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. K nowledge of Health & Safety
