Due to someone leaving the business an opportunity has arisen within the premium pack and finishing department for a Planning Controller. This is a key position within the premium pack and finishing department, actively seeking areas of improvement, cost reduction and overall quality of our delivered products. Liaising with a number of departments to implement the production plan and to drive fulfilment on time and in full, this role is responsible for communicating the planned production and shipping dates as well as highlighting, resolving and escalating issues in a timely manner.
Reporting to the Premium Packaging Manager, key tasks and responsibilities of the role include:
Creation and continuous review of production plan for premium pack and finishing area
Responsibility for reviewing new demand and creation for production orders
Effective and timely communication with key internal stakeholders and 3rd parties
Creating reports for review by management team
Monitoring and reviewing bottling schedule in line with premium pack planned activity
Identify movement, coordinate and communicate changes cross-functionally as required
Effective communication with internal departments for timely resolve of any issues
Collaboration with ATOS ensuring faults/issues are reported and solutions implemented in a timely manner
Represent premium packaging and finishing at NPD forums
Proactively identify and take ownership of challenges to deliver appropriate solutions timeously
Liaise with compliance and adhere to customs and excise requirements
Deputise for departmental manager as and when required (attending meetings with senior management,
To be successful in this role you will have experience of using SAP and ideally APO planning systems. Strong excel skills, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are all key for this role. You will be a problem solver with excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as being someone who is able to work using their own initiative. Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
