Bookings Assistant Part Time

Job Summary

To book our teachers to present lessons in a variety of schools in Scotland. Following up emails and telephone calls, sending confirming emails and accurately entering bookings into an on line diary. Assisting with teachers expenses, records of work and school feedback forms.

Reliability, accuracy and pleasant manner essential. Must be available to work until 1st July 18.

You will work with our education officer.

Responsibilities and Duties

Using Word, Excel and email on a daily basis to communicate with schools, record accurately lessons booked, write and send confirming emails and phoning a few days before each appointment to ensure there is no change. . Must be able to think through problems and deal with them in a calm way. Willing to work flexible with other members of staff and volunteers in a small charity office where confidentiality is paramount.

Qualifications and Skills

Must be capable of using Microsoft 10 with accuracy. Good English essential both written and spoken. Experience of working in an educational establishment, service sector or communications role appreciated.

Must have reference to support all claims and reliability.

Benefits

This is a short term contract in the first instance and will depend on further funding. Must be available for work until the end of June or fit in with holidays already booked. As a small charity we can only afford to pay the Living wage but this is a friendly office with free tea and coffee, good holiday allowance, all public holidays and gives the satisfaction of making a difference in a not-for-profit organisation where preventing disease in Scotland is important.
