Administrator

Company: Pertemps Network Group    Location: Glasgow
Our client, a highly respected Higher Education establishment based in Glasgow, require an Administrator on a temporary basis. The salary for the position is £12.21 per hour. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 10.00am to 2.00pm - 20 hours per week.

Main purpose of role:
To provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Placement Team

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
  • Communicate placement allocations and placement activity
  • Travel expense claim forms
  • Uniform distribution
  • Mentorship prep/attendance
  • Maintain and review records, databases and management information systems
  • Clerking meetings and committees
  • Diary management
  • Assist with the organising of department events/activities
  • Respond to oral, written and electronic enquiries
  • Provide first line of contact for colleagues and students
  • Any other tasks appropriate to the post and in line with School/Department business needs
Key Skills and Requirements:
  • 2 years relevant experience gained in a similar role ideally in a Higher Education establishment
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office applications
  • Experience of Higher Education IT systems is advantageous
  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to work flexibly and effectively under pressure in a very busy environment
  • Professional and discrete approach, used to dealing with confidential information
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
