About this job
My Client are based in Glasgow and are looking for more info on things
Prepare Compliance Management Information for senior, regional and business compliance management segments.
*Presentation of reports, trends, themes and outliers to senior management, explanation and follow up if appropriate.
*Delivery of timely reports to each regional and business stakeholders where compliance provides a service.
*Driving force behind the Compliance datalake and information visualisation programme
*Development of the future Compliance inventory of reports to meet management regulatory expectations and support the decision making of senior management.
*Develop the processes and systems to support a self-serve capability for ad hoc reporting dashboards and investigation.
Overall Purpose of Role
*Liaise with report stakeholders to develop new report presentation formats, these can be static (powerpoint) or dynamic (using a visualisation tool).
*Business analysis to understand, document, specify and implement new reporting processes.
*Investigation of data sources and liaising with data source owners.
*Liaise and communicate with other members of the GCMR team.
*Formal reconciliation and testing of data sources to ensure integrity.
*Common sense review of data throughout the aggregation processes for reasonableness.
*Contribute thoughts, views and understanding to a vibrant team establishing a centralised Management Information and reporting service firm-wide.
*Develop a network of contacts across the compliance function and firm-wide as appropriate
*Responsible for individual end to end reporting processes
*Quality review of own and other team members work.
*Apply Barclays firm-wide and GCMR´s own reporting standards and best practices
*Identify opportunities and implement change to streamline processes within the function
*Communication with other teams within the compliance function to build the skills required to deliver effective Compliance-wide MI & Reporting.
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
*Practical experience of management information (could be: developing, producing, reviewing or end user)
*Ability to understand and document how business processes interact with individual data elements.
*Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing documentation with attention to detail preparing documents proof-reading and obtaining user sign off
*Ability to identify discrepancies whilst managing, reviewing and gathering data.
*Proficient in Microsoft excel and PowerPoint to produce reports
*Self-starter who pro-actively takes on additional tasks and ad-hoc projects as requested
*Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a changing environment
*Ability to work at pace with accuracy, effective at working under pressure and tight deadlines
*Listen effectively, an inquisitive mind set and be open to new and diverse ideas.
*Organisation skills for management of own workload in the context of conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
Desirable (but not essential) skills/Preferred Qualifications:
*Investment Bank experience
*Retail Bank/ Financial Services experience
*General Financial Services experience
*Effective presentational skills to both a junior and senior audience.
*Exposure as a user or developer to Business Intelligence applications (eg Tableau, Spotfire, Qlikview, Business Objects)
*Exposure to Compliance in any industry translating regulation into policy, standards and culture
*Awareness of Operational and Privacy risks
*Be "tech savvy" interested by the opportunities technology provides for quality, efficiency or accuracy.
*Ability to critically analyse data including the identification of trends, themes and unusual outliers.
