- Leadership Development Manager initially a 3 months contract up to £500 day rate Umbrella/ £398.13 day rate PAYE (INScope IR35) - Government Organisation Glasgow ** Our client is part of Central Government based in Glasgow, who are looking for an experienced Leadership Development Manager/ Leadership Development Project Manager to join their team on a 3 months contract. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for shaping and delivering learning & development interventions required to drive the Role of a Manager programme and to technically upskill leaders and to develop active management and active leadership skills within the business unit.
Within this role it will require a sophisticated and cross functional understanding of the complex factors which shape approaches to leadership and management development, and the impact of the Role of a Manager (to employee engagement, productivity, roles, processes, technology, ways of working etc). You will have accountability for shaping and delivering major programmes of activity with different management groups across the business unit. Ideal experience required for this role: Ideally MCIPD or CIPD qualified or equivalent experience Previous Leadership and Human Resource environment experience Successfully delivered leadership and management development and improvement programmes in a large, complex organisation and multi-site environment; Experience of project management (ideally within a significant change programme) Budgetary management and commercial acumen experience Proven track record of managing suppliers and contract management against demanding quality, budget and customer/business criteria Extensive experience of assessing, reviewing and communicating impact from leadership and management development investment Demonstrable ability to impact on the skills and attitudes of others - facilitating change and developing capability and capacity (where they do not have line management responsibility) Experience of challenging managers, and skilled at securing collaboration across a range of complex stakeholders and in sensitive and challenging situations Ability to manage conflict, with strong analytical and tested decision-making abilities Understanding of Operational Excellence, Lean methods & tools and associated Leadership Behaviours is advantageous Must have an adaptable approach, with conceptual flexibility to enable them to work across workstreams and work with the Executive and senior sponsors Exceptional communication and influencing skills proven through clear examples of excellent written and oral communication and influencing approaches across project lifecycle and change initiatives Exceptional experience building strategic relationships with suppliers, within HR, in the wider organisation and beyond the organisation for the good of the organisation Excellent IT knowledge and experience as well as good organisational and team-working skills.
