We can train you to gain your PCV licence and start a new career.
Being a Bus Driver is about more than just driving from A to B – it’s about looking after our passengers, running to timetables so they can rely on our services, keeping them safe, and being an ambassador for the Company.
You’ll do your training at our accredited training school in Hull, and earn while you learn. You’ll start on £7.57 per hour, but once you’ve gained your PCV licence and start “on the road” you’ll go up to our Interim Rate of £8.31 for the rest of your first year (and then go on to our top rate of £9.24 – about £18,260 per year). There’s lots of opportunity to earn more through regular overtime too.
You must have held a car licence for at least two years. We’re looking for team players with great customer service skills. A good grasp of basic English and maths is essential as you’ll be dealing with passengers on a daily basis, and a knowledge of the local area is helpful. You need to look smart and professional, and be willing and able to work shifts. We also carry out a full Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check as our contract clients insist upon this.
To apply for a job with a place on our Training Programme (permanent employment) then please complete the questionnaire to send us your details.
Please note that previous applicants who have been declined during our recruitment process will not be considered unless we have specifically invited them to re-apply.
