Business Development Manager, Northern Region

Company: Close Brothers Group    Location: Leeds LS1
Business Development Manager for North region will produce new deposit relationships to Close Brothers Treasury and will manage an existing portfolio of customer relationships. The BDM will promote the services of Close Brothers Treasury in the specified region. Networking with professional introducers and colleagues in other units of Close Brothers Group is a necessary part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Customer

Cold call and meet with prospects; customers; business influencers and intermediaries
Manage an existing portfolio of customers to retain and increase deposit volumes
Maximise deposit opportunities from allocated region and create a presence in the local business community
Champion a business sector to gain in-depth knowledge of that sector and work with the BDM team to implement a development plan
Gather and share competitor and market intelligence to support personal and team performance
Develop relationships with other Close Brothers Group business units (e.g. Close Asset Management) to produce referral opportunities

Processes

Build and maintain an in depth knowledge of Close Brothers and deposit products
Take ownership of performance and manage time efficiently to maintain levels in line with personal and business objectives
Work with internal teams to develop business opportunities
Adhere to the core values outlined under the Treasury Engagement initiative by demonstrating key behaviours
