Following a re-structure within our IT Service Delivery Function, we have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced IT Service Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. Working in an agile environment, this role can be based in either our Leeds or Durham office.
What you will be doing
As the IT Service Manager, you will be responsible for all IT services for our Home and Business department. Working with senior business stakeholders and internal IT colleagues, you will ensure the IT services are operating to a sustainable delivery model that meets the agreed service levels.
In addition to the IT service element, you will drive business services cost and decisions based on detailed knowledge of the IT service components. In line with service budgets, you will be accountable for driving down the total cost of ownership (TCO) of the business services portfolio.
Joining 3 other Service Managers, you will be supporting a successful business area that will give you the opportunity to be involved in high profile projects and services. As a result, you will need to have strong communication and negotiating skills, interacting with senior management across the business.
What we are looking for
Ability to act as trusted advisor to the business on service run activities
Knowledge of how IT service components integrate to form business services
Financial management expertise and an understanding of the company´s financial practices and goals
Experience of delivering organisational change
Demonstrable experience of building, leading and developing teams, including virtual teams
Strong senior business and IT stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical, negotiation, influencing and problem resolution skills
Knowledge of industry-standard project management / IT support methods e.g. PRINCE 2, ITIL.
