Collections And Recoveries Adviser

Job Summary

The role requires you to collect outstanding payments on mid to high value overdue accounts whilst providing excellent customer service to licensees. To maintain/improve debtor days for maximum cash flow and minimum bad debt.

Key accountabilities

As a Collections and Recoveries Adviser you will be responsible for managing assigned overdue accounts. This will include; chasing outstanding payments for licence fees, receiving customer calls for payment or disputes, being aware of the challenges of licence fee collection, being aware for the impact of instalments and / or customer service quality on debtor days and raising concerns with respect to doubtful / bad credit. You will be responsible for preparing enforcement referrals for potential infringement investigations, assigning collection value to these where possible. To write off bad debt within authorised threshold, ensuring it is the only option and supporting documentation exists. You will be creating VAs with insolvent customers in order to agree on the portion of protected versus unprotected debt and cancel licenses, within authorised threshold and to validate bankruptcies where required. To educate and advise customers, positively reinforcing benefits of music to their business, while ensuring that they understand and are adhering to contractual licensing terms and conditions.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level or above. Have experience in debt collection and credit control. You will have worked within a collections or customer contact centre, with experience of working within a target driven Commercial Credit team.
