Transforming Care Services are currently working in partnership with a social care provider who is known for providing high quality support services to adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, physical disabilities, complex needs, dementia and older people. They have services across the UK and provide residential, supported living and extra care services for adults. They are recruiting for four fulltime care co-ordinators, two to work in Leicester City area and the other two posts will cover Leicestershire. Salary is £19,500/£20431, this depends on experience and sound knowledge of CQC framework. You must be a car driver and be willing to work a rota shift pattern & on call Rota.A minimum of 3 years experience and at least one years post experience of staff supervision and management. Significant experience of supporting people with learning disabilities including individuals with autism, complex needs and who present with behaviours that challenge services. A NVQ3 qualification.Ability to carry out a comprehensive assessment of an individuals care and support needs, including risk assessment. Ability to devise effective care plans, risk management plans and management guidelines and protocols for managing challenging behaviour. Ability to articulate and communicate a progressive vision for the delivery of learning disability services.Familiarity with current government policy and accepted good practice in the provision of learning disability services. Ability to engage with service users, and to develop and sustain warm and trusting relationships.Good written/ verbal communication skills and good IT skills. Experience of coordinating rotas and deploying staff to meet the needs and preferences of service users.Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise & manage a busy workload (which will including direct support, supervision & management of staff and joint work with partner agencies) . Ability to collate data relating to service delivery & outcomes and to produce well written internal and external reports. Ability to liaise professionally with a range of agencies and to gain the confidence and respect of other professionals.
