We are now looking to recruit a Imports Coordinator to join our team on a Maternity Cover Contract based at our head office in Enderby, Leicester.

About the Imports Team:

The Imports team play a crucial role in supporting the logistics operations across the business. As an Imports Coordinator you will coordinate, control and report on the intake if stock from our global supplier base through our network of overseas consolidation centres and UK suppliers on a daily basis.

You’ll ensure delivery is made to the correct destination in the most efficient, cost effective method, whilst ensuring all freight systems are updated to accurately reflect the stock movement.

About the Imports Coordinator Role:

The Imports Coordinator will:

Regularly monitor the inbound logistics system to ensure stock flow is maintained in accordance with the expected mode of transport lead times.

  • ·
Manage the warehouse daily intake capacities to ensure available capacity meets demand and ensure any changed to capacity are communicated to the team. You’ll also be responsible for administering the system to reflect these changes.

Communicate daily with product teams regarding using the correct mode of transport.

  • ·
Ensure all reporting documentation, standard operating processes and procedure manuals are continually updated and maintained.

Identify opportunities to streamline business processes by increasing automation and reducing intervention.

  • ·
Analyse a variety of reports, identifying risks and proposing solutions and recommendations when required.

The Ideal Imports Coordinator:

  • ·
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with employees at all levels across the business and with our freight forwarder teams.

  • ·
Excellent organisational skill, able to work around problems and be flexible to address and prioritise problems as they arise.

  • ·
You will have a good understanding of Excel with the ability to analyse, interpret and communicate information clearly.

  • ·
Demonstrate an excellent work ethic, ambition and motivation to thrive in a high pressure environment.
