21hr Rehabilitation Support Worker Liverpool

The Disabilities Trust is currently recruiting for an experienced Rehabilitation Support Worker to join us at our residential sites in Liverpool at Redford Court .

Redford Court is one of 15 specialist brain injury centres located in England, Scotland and Wales and run by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT).

BIRT has been providing excellence in brain injury rehabilitation for 25 years. Our neurobehavioural approach to rehabilitation combines the best evidence-based, scientific methods of changing behaviour with an understanding of brain injury and philosophy of community based rehabilitation.

In this role you will work alongside other RSW´s as well as providing proactive support to a number of our Service Users.

This is a key role for the Trust as you will be able to directly influence the care and support our Service Users provide so being able to deliver warm, friendly and professional support is key for this role.

As a Rehabilitation Support Worker your main responsibilities and duties will be to:

Establish and maintain professional working relationships with the service users, contributing to the creation of a homely and pleasant living environment for each service user.

During the course of your work you will at all times conduct yourself in a professional manner acting as a role model to colleagues and service users contributing to the delivery of quality services.

To work as a member of the team, contributing to the team ethos and supporting service users(s) and colleagues appropriately.

Facilitate the daily routines of the service users including personal care promoting a high standard of personal hygiene at all times.

Participate in the development of service user(s) support plans, risk assessments and programmes, complete written records as necessary and in accordance with the guidelines provided.

Implement individual support plans to meet the needs of the service user(s).

Highlight any issues/concerns to the Team Leader to ensure the service user(s) receive quality services at all times.

Participate and contribute as required to individual service user review meetings and support plans within boundaries set by senior colleagues.

In accordance with individual support plan, enable the service user(s) to look after and clean their own rooms, organise their personal possessions, clothing and other personal effects.

Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of all rooms, fixtures and fittings thereby maintaining a safe environment for service users and staff.

This role is a part-time 21hr position and you will work across a six week rolling rota which will include working some bank holidays and weekends as the rota falls. Any bank holidays worked will be offered as other holiday days.

You will work roughly two weekends across the six weeks.

This position is paying a competitive hourly rate of £8.20 with £1 per hour weekend working increase.
