Nursing Assistant Secure Division Pool (band 3) -

Company: Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust    Location: Liverpool
We are looking for experienced nursing assistants who can demonstrate compassion and empathy to our patients, improving the quality of care services within a Secure/Forensic Environment.

Our Secure Division is responsible for specialised secure mental health services, in low, medium and high secure settings for service users with a primary classification of mental illness, and personality disorders. Working across the Secure Division as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of high standards of care and support to a challenging group of service users. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to gain invaluable experience in forensic environments.

Along with some experience of dealing with patients with mental health conditions, we ask that you are flexible in your approach to work, eager to learn, have an open attitude to change and want to make a real difference to our patients in challenging secure environments.

We would welcome and consider applications for part-time working and also for working shifts during normal working hours (ie: 9-5)

If you are successful at the shortlisting stage you will be invited to undertake an assessment on Monday 12 March 2018 which will include an online questionnaire, group exercise and a written exercise.

If you pass the assessment stage you will then be invited to attend an interview on Thursday 22 March or Friday 23 March 2018.

If successful in this post, you will be required as a condition of your employment to satisfactorily complete the new national Care Certificate training and assessment programme within a 12 week period of time.

Some of these posts are for male applicants only and have been identified as exempt under the Equality Act 2010 due to the nature of personal care/security requirements and to also reflect the workforce plan regarding gender ratios.
