Front Of House Sales Staff

The Empire Theatre is at the heart of culture in the City of Liverpool. This venue plays host to a multitude of the best UK and International tours as a number-one stop on the UK touring circuit. With over 2350 seats this venue has a busy season ahead with the Empire team looking forward to welcoming Shrek! The Musical , Legally Blonde and the West End smash-hit Wicked as it returns to the city for a three week run during early 2017. With all these great productions coming to the venue, and many, many more, it has never been a better time to roll out the red carpet and find talent to join the existing customer experience team.

The Empire is looking for Customer Experience Team members to work across all guest facing roles from Bars, Welcome Hosts, Ambassador Lounge, to ATG´s new concepts - Ordertorium and Lime Street Bistro.

Key Responsibilities

To provide the ultimate welcoming environment to all of our customers

To upsell and cross sell in all areas maximising sales and always aiming to exceed targets

To adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety regulations

To provide general assistance and guidance to all customers in order to promote customer care

To provide accurate venue and product knowledge and participate in training when required

To actively promote ATG values

As a custodian of the building, take pride in its appearance and ensure all areas are clean and tidy to a high standard

Ensure the security and safety of all theatre guests

Ensure the security of stock and cash is adhered to and always monitored accordingly

To assist the Head of Department and the venue management team with the implementation of ideas and drive to achieve the set KPIs

To complete any other delegated task that helps the company meet business objectives

Ensure that each and every guest who enters Liverpool Empire has the best experience possible during a visit to the theatre

Knowledge / Experience / Skills Needed:
Experience of retail working in a sales environment

Previously worked in a customer facing role

Passion for a great customer experience and live entertainment

Eye for detail, proactive and imaginative

Confidence in selling a large range of products and services to customers

Ability to communicate effectively with management and colleagues

Must be age 18+ as the role includes the sale and service of alcohol

Be a flexible worker and be able to work evenings and weekends, during our busiest times.

Eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom


Experience of catering, food and beverage

Proven experience of meeting targets

Experience in stock control and cash security

Experience in working in a live entertainment venue
