We have an opportunity for a reception administrator to join our team; you will be based within our Great Winchester site. As the welcoming face of our medical centre, you will provide a friendly, warm and efficient reception service whilst consistently delivering high quality customer care standards to both internal and external clients and contributing to an overall exceptional client experience.
This is a Fixed Term role for 6 months and can be extended further depending on business demands
Working Hours: 24 hours per week (Monday-Wednesday) .
Salary: £10,500 - £11,500, dependent on candidate experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Welcome all patients, visitors and staff to the Front of House area, providing information and dealing with enquiries in a friendly and professional manner at all times
Answer the telephone promptly
Ensuring the Front of House area is at all times clean, tidy and presentable
Assist in patient chaperone service as necessary on request
Ensure that all visitors sign the Visitors Book (including staff from other facilities). The accuracy of this register will be relied upon in an emergency evacuation situation
Security to building issue visitor passes, screening and checking deliveries, check identities of those requesting access to the building regardless of purpose. In case of evacuation, collect the Visitor Book and Security Log as proof of occupancy and hand to the Duty Fire Warden
Accurate registration and update of patient details on the relevant practice management systems
Handing out relevant paperwork/forms to be completed and ensuring it is completed in a timely manner
Booking appointments correctly and accurately for all type of appointments requested face to face or for follow up appointments
Providing support to the bookings team by taking calls and booking physiotherapy appointments by phone when requested
Processing all payments, issue of invoice as necessary and update of cashbook spreadsheets and being accountable for any transaction processed
Be the central contact point, responsible for reporting faults to office equipment and other on-site locations
Any other ad hoc duties as required
Skills and Experience
Good general level of education
Previous reception experience is essential
Intermediate/advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, Outlook or equivalent
