Ap Customer Accounts Assistant

Providing an excellent & proven customer service to Compass Group suppliers and internal customers. To work in partnership with Finance managers and Commercial support teams to ensure set payment terms are adhered to and to provide full account management service to approved Compass Group suppliers.


As our AP Customer Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for managing account queries on all non-edi suppliers. Arranging and undertaking regular account reviews in accordance with set targets. Answering telephone calls and e-mail queries from vendors and internal customers. Managing payment terms in accordance with terms set by our Commercial team. Collating and producing manual payment requests, monitoring of Payment Request mail box. Monitoring of Supplier Ledger Update (SLU) inbox and liaising with vendors and team APL to ensure up to date contact details are stored and utilised. Adhering to process flows outlined for legal correspondence. Management and control of master supplier records. Ensuring that accounts payable best practice standards are adhered to. Highlighting areas of improvement and initiating ideas to improve the overall standard and effectiveness of themselves, their team and the Accounts Payable Department.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an Accounts professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Clear and focused drive to achieve cash collection targets. Excellent customer service skills, with a proven record. Ability to work using own initiative. Good problem solving skills and advanced competence with MS Excel.

You will be driven with the desire to work to achieve agreed targets/objectives. You will be able to challenge and take time to understand customer requirements, and takes necessary actions to achieve. Enthusiastic with a a passion to get things done. With a confident communication manner, whilst tailoring approach to the situation. Self motivated, you will be a self starter, able to work with on own initiative. Determined to succeed, and to flourish in times of change. Have a positive outlook, always displaying a can do approach to all work matters
