Due to expansion, THG is looking to recruit a smart and ambitious Regulatory Affairs Officer to join our Cosmetic Compliance team and operate as first point of contact for the non-food team. You will be coordinating with the Product Development, Brand and Purchasing teams to ensure compliance of new and existing products; you will be monitoring and maintaining adverse event reporting processes, coordinating cosmetic testing, supporting with the substantiation of product claims and assisting with raw material and new technology research. About the opportunity:
- Work alongside NPD to ensure compliance of new and existing products with global legislative requirements
- Report to Regulatory Affairs Manager
Create and update Product Information Files
Coordinate with regulatory agencies, distributors and retailers to solve registration issues in existing markets
Identify and manage documentary export requirements and liaise with supply chain to ensure own brand third-party cosmetic products are accompanied by accurate and complete documentation on despatch
Design and maintain an internal finished product and ingredient database
Assist with the substantiation of product claims, including the review of marketing material
Liaise with the customer service team; monitor and maintain adverse event reporting processes
Operate as first point of contact for the non-food team in respect of internal and external enquiries
Assist in designing and upgrading internal processes
Formulate and disseminate relevant reports, covering the non-food teams activities
Develop and maintain links to other teams, including NPD, supply chain, logistics, design, marketing and trading Requirements:
We are looking to recruit an experienced industry professional or a graduate with a background in cosmetic science, chemical engineering, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or similar willing to pursue a career in cosmetic regulatory affairs.
You should have strong commercial acumen
Will be a self-starter, good at working well on your own and using your initiative
Ability to organise and prioritise your workload
Ambitious, motivated, hungry for success and genuine responsibilityPrevious experience in regulatory affairs (cosmetics and/ or other FMCG) is an advantage
