Programming Assistant X 2

What it´s like to work here: Dunham Massey is a 3,000-acre estate situated approximately 10 miles south of central Manchester and three miles south of Altrincham. Roger Grey, 10th Earl of Stamford, gave it to the National Trust in 1976 and today it attracts over 500,000 visitors a year. This elegant Georgian mansion, set within a magnificent 300 acre deer park and including one of Britains finest winter gardens, is a very popular visitor attraction with over 100 staff. The busy team has a strong commercial focus and a fast-paced environment. Within the park walls there is also a shop, caf, restaurant and ice cream parlour. On the wider estate, there are 20 farms, 100 cottages, a golf course and an award winning housing development. The house, garden and parkland hide many layers of history and have many stories to tell.

What you´ll be doing: You will assist the delivery and development of programme activities and events at the property, running on a daily, weekly or seasonal timetable. These programmes will celebrate your property´s spirit of the place philosophy to create a connection with every visitor. Your role will be to provide a variety of experience to our visitors. You will ensure that your property provides an enjoyable visitor experience and consistently exceeds our visitors expectations. You may also be involved in outreach engagement activities and events. You´ll be part of a broader team of staff at the property delivering great service to visitors promoting good communication across the site and joined service provision.

Have excellent customer service and communication skills, along with a passion for stories and creating engaging activities and experiences for all ages

Possess a keen interest in history, the outdoors, arts and heritage as well as experience of working with the public

Have good IT skills along with the ability to use all Microsoft packages

Experience of working with a wide range of people and volunteer supervision or management

Knowledge of health and safety compliance requirements
