Graduate Trainee - M&a Specialist (bolton Based)

Benchmark International is the UKs market leading Merger & Acquisitions specialist, handling company sales across all areas of both the SME and corporate mid-markets.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our established organisation and become an integral member of our Transactions Team.

We are seeking a driven, motivated Graduate Corporate Executive, based in Greater Manchester, to become part of our efficient, well organised and professional central operations office.

The role involves communicating at all levels, both internal and external, with the ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and work quickly and efficiently. Candidates are expected to have excellent written skills, highly proficient IT and MS Office skills, good commercial awareness, a confident and professional telephone manner, good numeracy skills, excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to work under their own initiative.

No previous industry experience is required, as full training will be provided; however, education to a degree level is an essential requirement and experience in a similar role within corporate finance, or the wider finance community, would be beneficial although is not essential.

An interest in the business and finance world and/or a level of commercial awareness are desirable attributes for this role although ultimately, we are looking for someone who will thrive in our fast-paced environment, bringing energy and enthusiasm to our team.

Duties within the role include:

  • Managing a diverse client portfolio of business owners;
  • Drafting detailed, bespoke reports concerning businesses;
  • Dealing directly with clients (at owner/shareholder level) to understand, discuss and review their businesses in order to collect information for report drafting purposes;
  • Preparing comprehensive and detailed Business Reports, including desk research;
  • Liaising with internal departments at Director/Shareholder level; and
  • Other general duties, as required
