Physiotherapy Support Worker

This is an opportunity to work in the Neuro Rehabilitation Outpatient team based at Linden Lodge on the City Campus of NUH, you will also be expected to undertake community home visits to patients from this base.

This post is part-time - 18.5 hours per week which can be worked over either 3 days or 4 days depending on the applicant.

We are looking for an applicant who is enthusiastic about neorological rehabilitation, has good communication and motivation skills and who enjoys being part of a small enthusiastic team. You will need to be flexible and adaptable and at times will be required to deliver care in the patient own home environment.

You will be based at Linden Lodge in the Neuro Rehabilitation Outpatient area on the city campus of NUH, managing your own caseload of neurological rehabilitation patient as well as working alongside qualified Physiotherapists, OT´s & SLT´s. Working within protocols and a competency package, you will be devising, supervising and progressing exercises, rehabilitation programmes and classes / groups for adult patients of all ages with neurological diagnoses.
Previous experience of working with people in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting is essential but we will offer full and appropriate training, support and individual personal development

Part of each working day will be spent on non-clinical duties to ensure smooth running of the department - this will involve cleaning and maintenance of clinical equipment, administrative work and documentation.

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
