£26,000 - £32,000 plus excellent benefits (Grade E)


Shift pattern across Mon to Fri 8am – 8pm, Sat 8am - 5pm and Sun 9am - 4pm

Co-op Insurance is an award winning provider of general insurance products in the UK, with around 1.4 million customers coming to us for services including motor, home and pet insurance. We’re making massive investments in tools and technology that’ll help us achieve our goal of becoming market leaders in customer satisfaction. To support this transformation our learning and development team are growing to support teams across the whole of Co-op Insurance. As part of this we need some claims technical coaches to join us and uplift and embed the technical capability of our claims teams.

Your main focus will be on understanding development needs in order to deliver planned and specific training to claims teams across our three locations; Manchester, Bury St Edmunds and Nottingham. You’ll work closely with the wider L&D team and across Co-op Insurance to ensure a consistent approach to L&D. You’ll have the opportunity to shape this new role for us, building a positive reputation with your colleagues.

What you’ll do:

  • Uplift and embed the technical capability of claims through coaching
  • Proactively work with managers across the business to understand development needs
  • Design where required, deliver and undertake coaching / training in both a classroom and one on one environment
  • Engage closely with the wider L&D team
  • Undertake technical new starter training and support our Academy

To be successful in this job you’ll need to have worked in a claims environment before within the insurance industry. You’ll be a strong and inspirational communicator with the passion to drive positive change. You’ll be a self-starter too.

  • You’re confident in asking questions and coaching others
  • You deliver with influence and impact
  • You’ve some experience in L&D or training before, however this isn’t essential
  • You’re CII qualified, however this isn’t essential
