Floor Staff

The Glee Club is one of Nottinghams most exciting and vibrant venues and we are looking for new members to join our team.

SHIFT PATTERNS

Shifts can start anytime between 5pm-7pm depending on business levels and finish anytime between 11pm-1am. Its typically a 6 hour shift. Being able to get home safely is something to think about here as we have had people join and realise they have no way of getting home after work as buses and trams have stopped running.

  • Black Trousers
  • Black Shirt /T-shirt /polo shirt. (not provided).

DUTIES include:

  • Set up & breakdown of auditorium - (Some lifting and moving of furniture is also required for Floor staff so you need to be physically capable of this)
  • Meeting & greeting customers and taking them to their allocated seats.
  • Delivering food to the correct tables
  • Clearing and washing of used plates and glasses
  • General cleaning and restocking
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints in a quick and efficient manner

Floor staff are not required to take food orders or payment. All food and drink is ordered and paid for at the bar.There are busy intervals where we sometimes have to get 400 people served in 15 minutes..your local pub on a Sunday afternoon this aint!

The venue operates over four floors with no internal lifts so there is plenty of up and down stairs and carrying stock.Floor staff may be required to serve behind the bar during busy periods.

CANDIDATE

  • Good manners are a must. You will be in a customer facing role representing a company who have a reputation for their warm and friendly venues.
  • Good time keeping.
  • Good personal hygiene and a professional attitude towards work.

EXPERIENCE

You hit the ground running here so experience of working in restaurant, bar, theatre or arena is required.

Waiting tables, ushering, food handling, cleaning to high standards, stocking up and cash handling all form parts of this role. So..have you got what it takes?
