Can your care make a better life for a child or young person?
Since 2000 at Pathway Care weve been delivering high quality, child-focused residential care placements for young people from the age of eight upwards within 19 homes across the UK. Small steps make a huge difference and through Residential Care, Aftercare and Shared Care services we come alongside young people to work with them day-by-day, to help them achieve their potential. We care about providing the children entrusted into our care with better days today that lead to better lives tomorrow and into the future.
About the role
Due to continued growth, we have opportunities for Residential Childcare Workers to join our team in Arnold Nottingham. This home cares for one young person aged 17 with emotional behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviour.
As a Residential Childcare Worker you will help ensure the physical, emotional and identified personal care needs of children and young people are met through the provision of a supportive and caring environment. You will also work with the young people and others to assess needs and work jointly in the preparation, implementation and delivery of care plans, maintaining the development of positive child care practice which are always in keeping with the aims and objectives of Pathway Care Residential.
From the most basic hygiene and daily chores through to more challenging life skills such as shopping and financial management, our Residential Childcare Workers provide support and development to the young people in our care, helping to meet their objectives and improve their access to the wider community.
We help them with personal development, meals, medication, education and all other day to day activities and we make sure that the home is clean, tidy, warm and inviting, fulfilling the needs of children, young people and families regardless of disability, racial/cultural origin or gender.
Our homes offer care 24/7 and we work on a shift basis of 40 hours per week including, days, nights, evenings and weekends. Rotas are set in advance and so you are able to plan well ahead for holidays or breaks.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking to speak to enthusiastic reliable and flexible people with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in working with children and young people in the Nottingham area.

We provide ongoing training opportunities for our team members to ensure that the successful candidate feels confident and competent to work with our young people.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to a child or young persons life whilst developing your own career as part of a team that can offer support, training, progression and the highest levels of care and support.
