Job Summary

Operations Manager

FYI Marketing

Leeds or Sheffield (this role is being advertised in both cities)

Full time, permanent role

Salary in the region of £18,000 - £21,000, dependent on experience

The Company

FYI Marketing is a full service agency providing design, print and advertising services to the events and leisure industry. Ranging from local independent shops to European festivals and global superbrands, our clients rely on us to communicate with the trend-conscious 18-35yr demographic.

The Role

This is a new role designed to facilitate the practical side of FYIs growing roster of partnerships and advertising opportunities with music venues, student events and festivals. The Ops Manager is ultimately responsible for the delivery of successful advertising and distribution campaigns throughout the year and across the country, ensuring campaigns are executed to the companys high standards, reported to clients, and brought in on budget. This includes:

  • Planning and managing national and regional distribution/out of home campaigns, including scheduling, logistics, client liaison and reporting
  • Co-ordination of FYIs monthly listings magazine project, working alongside our sales and design team to set publication dates, arrange print production and distribution logistics within budget
  • Managing FYIs seasonal student events including venue and client liaison, logistics, promotions teams and providing management on the day
  • Planning and managing FYIs on-site Festival advertising campaigns, including liaison with FYIs Festival partners, site visits, logistics, and reporting
  • Planning and managing FYIs national advertising hoardings project including scheduling media rotation, logistics, arranging maintenance and client reporting
  • Cost reporting on all campaigns

The Candidate

This role involves decision making, problem solving, and strong leadership, all delivered within a campaign and/or events context. As such, the ideal candidate will likely have a strong professional background in events management or campaign facilitation, including key hands-on experience with arranging logistics, instructing staff and working to budgets. Candidates will need to show that they possess meticulous planning capabilities and the skills to communicate those plans effectively to their team and other stakeholders. The Ops Manager will also need to react to obstacles and change plans in an instant, so candidates demonstrating a history of leading a team within a dynamic, fast-paced professional context will do well. Attention to detail and a genuine care for the quality of our campaigns is a must, as is an enthusiasm to see campaigns through in person and on site when necessary. As such, candidates with their own vehicle willing to attend key events in person will be at an advantage.
