Internal Business Development/partnership Manager

A vacant position created as the result of continued annual growth within Power Control Ltd, an independently owned company, incorporated in 1994 and recognised market leader in solid state and modular Uninterruptible Power Supplies. A newly created division (CertaUPS) has been created in order to maximise sales potential within the single phase UPS market. CertaUPS are manufacturers of high quality UPS systems who are now a standalone division with their own go to market strategy.

It is a small division within Power Control Ltd but already has revenues circa 1.8M per annum. Its key objective is to build a robust channel distribution network via offering superb pricing, service and customer education.

The main purpose of the role is to support the drive to gain valued sales partners and new customers. This will include a broad selection of duties and needs someone keen to widen their skills and not afraid to dig in with the small team.

The candidate will be responsible for managing and building relationships with clients and potential clients. This is a new business focused opportunity requiring strong tele sales / marketing skills. Ideal for someone who is looking to develop in a sales and operations role and has the desire for success.

The candidate should be able to understand the business aims and objectives to successfully work in this environment. Outbound telephony based sales and marketing campaign follow up experience is essential for this role.

Responsible to: CertaUPS Business Development Manager

Key Performance Indicators:

  • To be an integral part of the operational success of the go-to-market strategy
  • Adherence and ownership of key workflows and customer support
  • Contribute to sales revenues of CertaUPS via account management and new business acquisition
  • To be an ambassador for the CertaUPS brand both internally and externally

Detailed functions:

  • Follow up on all leads to maximise opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with existing customer base.
  • Proactively contact potential sales partners to instigate communication.
  • Respond to all enquiries from clients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Liaise with customers and estimation department to ensure quotations are issued in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records using the companys CRM system.
  • Develop a good understanding of UPS Systems (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), I.T resellers and channel distribution methods.
  • Handling incoming demand from CertaUPS specific customers relating to:

_Sales Enquiries and quotations
_ _Partner enquiries
_ _Warranty enquiries / registration
_ _Incoming telephony general
_ Web enquiries

  • Work with colleagues to refine internal processes, industry communications
  • Work with marketing functions to plan and support integrated marketing campaigns

Required qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Proven track record in sales/sales administration.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and pro-active attitude.
  • Good word processing and IT skills.
  • SAGE 200 and SAGE CRM experience desirable.
  • Good maths skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • Accurate, thorough and well organised, with excellent attention to detail.
  • You take pride in your work and approach all tasks with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Calm, efficient and helpful even on the busiest of days.
  • A team player but you are also happy to work on your own and keep yourself busy.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Professional manner.
  • Excellent time management.

Hours:

Normal working standard office hours of 37.5 per week between 8.30am and 5.30pm. There may be some travel in order to carry out customer visits. This will be by arrangement

Remuneration:

£18- 20K per annum (depending on experience) plus quarterly incentive scheme offering a potential of an extra £4K per annum
