Legal Assistant - Wills And Probate

Job Summary

Our client, an established full-service law firm in Sheffield, has an opportunity for a legal assistant to join its Wills and Probate department. Previous experience working in a private client department at a law firm is required.

Based in our clients head office in Sheffield, you will join an expanding private client team. The role will involve assisting a solicitor with their caseload and assisting others in the department when required.

Duties and responsibilities will include preparing and drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and managing probate files. Other duties will involve you handling estate administration (sending out letters, applications and schedules of finances). You will also assist with clients personal affairs, time recording and do some legal research.

You will be joining a successful and growing team with a reputation for friendly professionalism and stimulating work.

Candidates will need excellent IT, literacy and numeracy together with a knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
