Marketing Assistant

Marketing Assistant part time 18.5hours per week

Contract Status:
Permanent (subject to funding)

Hours of Work:Part time 18.5 hours per week. Flexible by arrangement.

£7,920 per annum based on 18.5 hours per week plus benefits package

Responsibility for:

Supporting the Marketing team with their activities, with the aim of building awareness of Rounders England and increasing the number of people playing rounders.

Principal Accountabilities:

Support the organisation in raising the profile of Rounders using a customer focused approach to increase regular participation through marketing campaigns, social media and PR strategies.


1.Pull together monthly and quarterly analytical reports based on interactions with the Rounders England website, Twitter & Instagram profiles and Facebook page.

2.Administer the Rounders England website; making adjustments to enhance the customer journey, ensuring news items are released in a structured timeframe and writing and contributing content and updates to inform.

3.Capitalise on social media opportunities to interact with the Rounders England audience effectively.

4.Manage the media contacts database and events calendar and update as necessary.

5.Produce and distribute press releases as required.

6.Support the Marketing & Commercial Officer in producing copy for member communications & publications and PR opportunities outside the organisation.

7.Work with the Event Organiser to produce associated literature.

8.Promote the Rounders England brand and any associated campaigns.

9.Support the Marketing & Commercial Officer in producing marketing collateral and devise digital marketing campaigns.

10.Support Rounders England partners with their marketing activity.

11.Co-ordinate specialised consultants (photographers, media and PR, etc).

12.Support the staff team and our partners in identifying appropriate marketing tools to increase participation within the backbone; community and education.


1.Ensure all opportunities are promoted in accordance with Rounders England policies.

2.Work with the wider staff team to support Rounders England to achieve our vision and mission.

3.Any other administrative duties that need to be fulfilled.

Standard Specifications

Travel as required to support the outcomes of the role.

An understanding of equality issues, legislative requirements and barriers and issues that may prevent our priority groups from participating in Rounders, data protection, health and safety in the workplace and all Rounders England policies.

A willingness to undertake Continuing Professional Development.
