Application Support Technician - Competitive Salar

Certes Computing are assisting a local company who are currently looking to recruit a Application Support Technician on a permanent basis.

The company are located within the City Centre of Stoke-on-Trent.

The main purpose of the role is is to support the clients systems and all the system integrations including website, integrations and back-end applications across all business areas through investigation, analysis, reporting and tracking of errors and testing. Supporting business operations through timely resolutions of tickets with a view to minimise business disruption.

Key Tasks:
*Assessment of problem determination through investigation and analysis of reported faults, workaround resolution, root cause analysis and major incident management

*Ability to test developments, system fixes and new configuration changes to ensure integrity and ´fit for purpose´ prior to release into the live environment

*Advise on best system practices across the organisation

*Assist in the prioritisation of issues in order to best utilise development and support services from 3rd parties and development support teams (Internal and External).

*Capable of managing own workloads according to business priorities

*Identifying system development and process improvements

*Experience of MFT, FTP and file management systems, with a practical understanding of the development of these solutions.

*Maintenance and management of Content management and document management solutions such as Columbus DW.

*Establish a broad understanding of all business processes and how the technology supports them.

*Experience of SQL for the purpose of data mining and Incident investigation

*Preparation/storage of technical documentation; ensuring its it always maintained and up to date in relation to incident resolution

*Providing a high level of service to our customers and adhering to our strict SLAs

*Support the deployment of service releases, patches, requests and customisations in accordance with internal CAB processes.

*Create productive relationships with and between key stakeholders

*Ensure that solution and application support documentation is maintained to the highest quality and accuracy.

*Deliver clearly defined feedback on issues across a diverse cross-section of business associates

*Work closely with business areas to identify trends in issues and solutions

*Work closely with third party vendors and support functions

*Production of accurate reports on personal and team performance as required
