Key Responsibilities in this role will include:
Adheres to Health and Safety Standards and helps to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks
Promptly report all accidents, incidents in which they are involved or witness to a Line Manager
Use the Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) program on a daily basis to ensure appropriate behaviours and processes are followed as required
Openly and honestly support in basic low level incident investigations within the work place
Promptly escalate issues of non compliance to safety regulations and procedures
Operates MHE to training standards in a safe manner for themselves and others"
Follow the required site security measures to protect the site premises, including the safety of personnel, DSC assets and of the customer´s product for the required area
Adhere to the DSC "6 Steps" Security framework
Report security risks to their line manager
Ensure works area´s are kept clean with a "tidy as you go" mentality Relationship with Others
Adheres to the DPDHL Diversity and Respect at Work Policy at all times and escalates to a Line Manager any breach of Policy if witnessed
Display an open, honest and trustworthy manner at all times
Works affectively as part of a team, supporting others where able
Supports management implement continuous improvement activities

Job Performance / Continous Improvement
Contribute to day-to-day performance, including achievement of agreed customer KPIs and other internal KPIs (eg. safety, operational, employee related etc)
Attend and contribute in daily, weekly, monthly communication and engagement activity (eg. Team Briefs, Performance
Dialogues Toolbox Talks, All Employee Meetings, Health and Safety Meetings etc)
Carries out all responsible requests in line with general warehouse activity (eg) unloading, loading,
MHE/FLT activity, housekeeping, hygiene, kitting, marshalling etc.. "
Participate in the DPDHL annual Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) and contribute to the EOS Improvement Action Plan
Participate in and contribute to the Corporate Responsibility (CR) Agenda (eg, volunteering, fund raising, sponsorship)
Attends work daily, on time within agreed shift patterns with absence being an absolute exception
Attends CSCS and adopts a "Right First Time", "Can Do" and "Passion" mind-set at all times
Make recommendations to line manager to continuously improve the procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs
Performs and adheres to up to date Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP´s) and associated forms to achieve prescribed outputs
Contributes to Performance Dialogues to identify areas for improvement.
Key skills and experience in this role will include:
Experience of working within a logistics / stores / retail work environment Process adherence experience
Experience of working as part of an operational team Communication at multiple levels
Strong customer focus
Working experience of WMS practice
GCSE English & Math
Understanding and adherence of Health and Safety practices
