We are looking for a Service Desk Manager to join a large global and successful business having large client. You will be managing and leading a team of 7 1st/2nd line engineers working in an enterprise level environment supporting the Microsoft based environments. This role is a 50/50 hands on and team lead role.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and leading a team of 7 1st/2nd line service desk analysts so they provide high level customer service.
  • Improving and maintaining the level of service level agreements.
  • Provide support and training to the service desk team.
  • Ensure that weekly K.P.I´s, status reports are at a high standard.
  • Provide a senior level of support within the team and across the IT department.
  • Work closely with the senior IT team to deliver implementation and upgrade projects of software and hardware across the organisation.
  • Participate in maintaining the policy, procedures, reviews and produce new documentation.
  • Must be willing to be hands on when required, back up for the team, resolving issues etc.
Experience

  • Someone with a degree/other qualification in IT or similar.
  • You will have the ability to understand and manage technical projects.
  • You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work and communicate with a number of stakeholders with varying levels of IT capability and to handle a busy and varied workload.
  • Experience of Microsoft desktop operating systems and administration of Office 365.
  • Strong knowledge of Exchange, Server, ITSM administration and management.
  • Have proven experience of leading and motivating a service desk team.
  • Highly desirable experience of supporting VMWare Horizon VDI and Mitel VOIP phone systems.
