Ceremony Officers X 8

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint to our team of Ceremony Officers to deliver our programme of ceremonies.

The post holders will be required to work as part of a team of Deputy Registrars and Deputy Superintendent Registrars who work in pairs across the Wakefield district to deliver and register Marriages and Civil Partnerships. These ceremonies take place at Wakefield Town Hall, Pontefract Registration Office, Approved Venues and other authorised premises within the Wakefield district.

Officers also contribute to the growing number of discretionary ceremonies which include Naming and Renewal of Vows.

Applicants should be self motivated and able to demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills. You will be expected to deliver a consistently high standard of service and customer care at all times in line with corporate standards and according to General Register Office Guide to Good Practice. Neat and accurate handwriting is essential. Registration experience would be an advantage, however training will be provided.
