Head Of Operations & Logistics

SharkNinja is looking for an experienced Head of Operations & Logistics reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Operations and who will support the UK operational logistics requirements through the 3PL Warehouse. The Head of Operations & Logistics will lead three key teams, warehousing, logistics and imports and will function as part of our Customer and Consumer Excellence organization. He/She will be accountable for the overall operations, the day to day management and development of a high performing, operationally focused business department, accurate reporting of performance and making information available to handle all appropriate requests. The Head will be responsible for monitoring the performance against contract KPIs, while supporting the Operations team in the fulfilment of the Sales plan orders to retail, and e-commerce customers.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong negotiating and management skills in a demanding UK & European environment. The Head will be required to stabilize, and subsequently manage, a multi-carrier strategy across Europe from distribution centers within the UK/EU. Previous small package carrier management and system experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Operations team to ensure that all orders are picked and dispatched in the appropriate timeframe
Understand the Sales plan to enable an outbound forecast to be provided to the 3PL Warehouse & Parcel Carriers
Monitor & report Parcel Carrier contract performance
Support the management of the 3PL on contract / cost and service responsibility including KPIs
Ensure all SRC / Distributor customer processes are in conformance with required specifications, and ensure all data is provided in appropriate timescales.
Monitor the use and/or need of 3rd party providers and consider / propose improvements in partners provisions in order to generate operational improvements
Ensure the Commercial / Internet change of mind / Warranty returns processes being completed by the 3PL, ensure all timescales / KPIs are adhered to and processes met
Review OTIF performance by Prolog / Pollards, understand any reasons for failure and identify ways of eliminating issues
Anticipate issues to help manage Supply Chain risk. Go the extra mile to ensure that issues are resolved promptly
Support the Global Logistics Manager with business requirements / testing and implementation for IT Projects
Support the development and implementation of overall Supply Chain strategy.
Support the overall Logistics team where necessary to ensure all requirements are met
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential

Significant experience of managing multi-million-pound transportation contracts
Previous small package carrier management and system experience is essential.
In depth system knowledge, preferably Sage/Oracle expertise
Excellent negotiating and networking skills
Have excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify the root cause of failure and implement strategies to remove future risk
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
Excellent time management and organizational ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Work with cross functional leaders to identify areas of opportunity and implement necessary improvements

Desirable:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent
Demonstrable experience in a large multi-national supply chain with a proven track record in delivering cost and service improvements
Cultural sensitivity
Able to travel
