Playworker

Company: Wrenthorpe Pre-school, Early Birds & Night Owls    Location: Wakefield

Job Summary

Wrenthorpe Pre-school, Early Birds & Night Owls has a vacancy for a Playworker to work a total of 17 hours and 55 minutes per week, detailed as follows:

7 hours 30 minutes at Early Birds (Monday to Friday 7.30am till 9.00am), and

10 hours 25 minutes at Night Owls (Monday to Friday 3.15pm till 5.20pm)

term time only, starting on Monday 19th March.

There may also be the opportunity to work in our Holiday Club.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Playworkers duty is to work with colleagues to provide a stimulating and varied programme of play, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children and in line with our policies.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience of working with children aged 2 to 11 years and a Level 2 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential.

Applicants must also be able to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work as part of a team.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £7.78 to £8.01 /hour
