We are looking to appoint a new Lay Member (Audit). In addition to the general responsibilities of all Governing Body Members the Lay Member (Audit) will lead on key elements of governance including audit, remuneration, and conflict of interest matters as the Conflict of Interest Guardian. Your role will ensure that that the Governing body and the wider CCG behaves with the utmost probity at all times. You will chair the CCGs Audit Committee and would be expected to attend other committees to observe.
We are looking for an exceptional and flexible individual able to represent the interests of the people of Wakefield. If you are interested in this exciting role, you will need to demonstrate a range of competencies and skills including strategic thinking, leadership, organisational transformation, excellent communication to offer purposeful, constructive scrutiny and challenge and the ability to build effective working relationships with others. It is essential you develop strong working relationships with the Chair, Chief Officer and other members of the Governing Body. If you have previous Senior or Board level experience in the public, private or voluntary sectors, we would be delighted to hear from you. It is essential that candidates have knowledge of the Wakefield district.
The tenure of the role is three years. This is a demanding role and we are looking for a high level of commitment which includes flexibility for a minimum of 4 days per month which may include some evening engagements. The remuneration is £13,000pa.
