Deputy Care Manager

We are an ESTABLISHED PREMIUM home care provider in Yorkshire managed by frustrated carers who believe the care sector does not work well for:

  • - carers (often burdened with too much work and not treated fairly); and
  • - service users (often face call cramping and poor service).

Our ethos is that care must pass the ME AND MUM TEST. Carers are trained to only provide care to a standard which meets that expected by their mother.

We currently have a full time position for an experienced Deputy Manager with the view of becoming registered manager for the Wakefield service.

Hours per week: Full time role dicacted by the needs of the business.

Rate of pay: £21,000 per annum

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an efficient, organised and dedicated individual to join our team as a Deputy Manager within our rapidly expanding Domically Care services in Wakefield.

You will work as part of a highly regarded and dedicated team. You will have responsibility for an area of business and the relationship with the local authority whilst providing support to the Registered Care Manager.

Role and Responsibilities

  • recruiting in accordance with policy, managing performance, monitoring and supervision.
  • managing co-ordinators and support workers alongside the Registered Manager.
  • ensuring full compliance throughout the business.
  • understand and work within legislation, standards and regulations.
  • keep full and accurate records in accordance with legal requirements.
  • undertaking and monitoring of all appropriate assessments relating to new and old service users.
  • to undertake/facilitate reviews of customers needs/ requirements in accordance with guidelines.
  • planning and implementing supervisions and appraisals in accordance with guidelines alongside the Registered Manager.
  • to understand and monitor health and safety in the workplace and in the field.
  • implementation and management of complaints procedure alongside the Registered Manager.
  • implementation of performance management protocols where necessary.
  • take on-call duties as part of a team on a rota basis. Display flexibility with team members.
  • ensuring all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively e.g. covering calls either directly or indirectly when care workers are sick or absent.

This is a full time permanent position with a fantastic company who promotes within and encourages staff to meet their full potential. Continuous training and support will be provided.

Essential: Must have previous experience within the care sector, previously held a senior carer/supervisory roll. Have a minimum of Level 3 in Health and Social Care with a Management Qualification or equivalent. Must hold a current UK driving license and have use of own vehicle. Must be able to multitask and work well under tight guidelines and pressure as the role will be challenging.
