Social Link Recruitment requires an experienced Accommodation Officer to work within the housing department based in Wakefield.

Due to the nature of this role, our client has specified that candidates who apply for this position must have relevant experience working in a similar setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To carry out visits to homeless service users in temporary accommodation to ensure that the tenancy conditions are being met
  • Addressing any presenting issues, such as repairs, arrears and anti social behaviour in order to maximise tenancy sustainment.
  • To provide support to service users whilst in accommodation, including those with complex needs and assistance to move on via a range of housing options within the district.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Eligibility to work within the UK.
  • Level 3 qualifications (National Qualifications Framework in the UK) or able to demonstrate significant relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of basic repairs to enable the accurate identification and reporting of defects.
  • Knowledge of housing management legislation, procedures and good practice.
  • Knowledge of Homelessness legislation and guidance
  • A UK driving license


*The salary range is between £13.00-15ph depending on experience.
